Monaco

We're work-cationing in Nice for 2 weeks! We have 3 almost full weekends additionally with two free Wednesdays to loosen things up. Quite bearable to work this way. On our first free Wednesday we took the train to Monaco. And there goes a surprise I haven't thought about: Monaco on all its 2.08 square kilimeters is not part of the EU, therefore no free roaming option for phone and data. Since Jeruen got a day-pass of data which enabled us to use maps and do some basic browsing, I didn't care much about me being disconncted the whole day. Monaco is an interesting place. It's second in the world in terms of population density, and probably the first in the word in terms of number of Ferraris per sqkm. It's a country of elevators, long corridors, yachts, and an aweful lot of money. The casino opened in 1865 and it was extended a couple of times since then. Today you can either visit to gamble, or visit outside of gambling hours and treat it like a museum with an audioguide and opportunity to take photos. Since we both know some statistics and how numbers work we opted for the later option. Here are some photos of the casino:
We were meandering in Monaco for the rest of the day exploring the old town and enjoying some view we don't typically have in Berlin:
