Copenhagen - the city

One of the most amazing things in the city is the designer shops that sell stuff for home use: furniture and decorative objects. I was just spending hours in these shops. They are very unusual and inspiring.
The nordic food is also inspiring, I ate in a restaurant where they served deep-fried hering with mustard, onion, with bread and some pork-fat. The other interesting plate was a kind of very old cheese, topped with some rum, jam, onion, lying on a slice of rye-bread. Both dishes were just fantastic.
In the afternoon I met my brother in the central station. We didn't get home, rather we walked around the city, having a beer on the shore of one of the canals. Later in the evening Josh, Kris, Liz and Gabi came in, we've picked them up from the airport.
In the evening we tried to find an open restaurant, which turned out to be an almost impossible mission. We were just running around the entire city, and only after an hour or so we found a restaurant that was able to serve us some food at 10pm. Most of them close up at 9. This is really strange. They have served us with the last 5 steaks they had, and we added one salad which we shared. But at least we got some food. Even today when we tried to order place in different restaurants we faced a problem. There was just not enough place.
But we did explore the city including the design museum, shipping a boat to Christiania, walking around the unusual neighborhood. No photography is allowed there. Police doesn't enter. Only hippies, that in the late 60s occupied the territory.
