Idrija is famous for the mercury mine, which operated from the late 15th century, until recently.

After finishing with the mine, we explored the town:
For dinner we drove to Vipava, where we ate in a trout restaurant. The fish came from local rivers. It was one of the best trouts I ever ate. Trout for first course, trout for main, and for desert too! That's what I call: a trout day.
