Provence - Arriving in Avignon (28/11/2019)

28th of November - Shimon and I began our adventure in the Provence. Shimon flow in from Tel Aviv, I flew in from Berlin arriving and met up at Marseilles Airport. The car rental didn't have the exact car we booked, so they upgraded us to a Lexus. We added the additional driver insurance so that we both can drive, which turned out to be a good decision. The Lexus 240 is a good car, but I honestly don't see the huge difference between that and any good car of the same category.
Anyways, we had lunch on the way and drove to Les Angles. The town is just opposite of Avignon on the other bank of the Rhône, literally walking distance from the town. The apartment was a two-bedroom flat, of which four are available for guests. Since it was off-season all the other units were empty. The host, a British guy who moved over two decades ago lives with his family in their house on the same lot. Very modern, clean and comfortable accommodation. There is also a fish pond which is just outside the balcony. We fed the fish, did some grocery shopping in order to feed us with dinner, and called it a day.
